Fast and Easy Healthy Breakfast Recipes

These healthy breakfast recipes will boost your immune system, give you great energy and are quick and easy to make with only about five or six ingredients. Start off the morning with a cup of hot lemon and honey in water or herbal tea like, my favorite, Rooibos.

Breakfast should start with high energy foods that are easy to digest and allow the colon to continue its cleansing process from the day before. The menus to follow support this system. The best sources will be raw fruit and nuts. Next best food category to add is whole grains.

If you are like some who believe a raw breakfast will not give you the energy you need or satisfy your hunger, try it! After a few days of transition, your body will exude energy and will have no blood sugar lows throughout the morning like a heavy breakfast leaves you with.

Cancer Free-ze Raspberry Smoothy

The first of my healthy breakfast recipes is so named because of the double blind study from Hollings Cancer Institute at the University of South Caroline that showed the ellagic acid from consumption of red raspberries causes G-arrest within 48 hours (inhibiting and stopping mitoses-cancer cell division), and apoptoses (normal cell death) within 72 hours, for breast, pancreas, esophageal, skin, colon and prostate cancer cells. Other studies also show inhibition of mutation and carcinogenic effect from the red raspberries. All other ingredients in this smoothie have beneficial effects for prevention and reversal of disease which will boost immune system naturally.

1 med. banana
1 cup frozen or fresh organic raspberries
1 tsp. golden flax seed
1 T. raw unfiltered honey or to taste
1 cup ice water (change water-to-ice ratio for desired thickness/more ice for fresh raspberries)

9 raw organic almonds
1 serving probiotics
1 tsp. red raspberry seed flour (optional for health benefit)

1 T. unsweetened coconut milk

Blend first five ingredients until smooth. Then add next three ingredients and blend for a few seconds with almonds still chunky so you will have some chewing action to release beneficial enzymes in saliva. Pour into glass and drizzle with coconut milk. Serves one large portion or two smaller portions. Click here for more Smoothie Recipes for ‘Healthy Breakfast Recipes’.

Tangy Cleansing Breakfast Juice

This is the lightest of the Healthy Breakfast Recipes for when you need special cleansing and immune system support, the perfect Vitamin A and C breakfast:

4 medium organic carrots 1 grapefruit, peeled with white left on 1/2 inch slice ginger root (maybe less to taste)

Juice and drink immediately. I prefer the Jack LaLane juicer for convenience, cost and ease of cleaning. Serves one.

Best Breakfast – Apple Muesli

1 med. Apple
2 T. walnuts, slightly chopped
1 T. old fashion oats (not cooked)
1 lemon, juiced
1T. raw unfiltered honey
1 T. coconut milk

Put lemon juice in a bowl and stir in honey until dissolved. Add rolled oats. Grate apple including seeds, skin and core into the honey mixture stirring it in as you go so apple doesn’t brown. Add coconut milk over top or can be added to lemon juice mixture at beginning. This doesn’t sound too exciting but it is probably my favorite of all my healthy breakfast recipes and makes you feel great!.

Fruit and Cream Bowls

1 Cantaloupe
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
½ cup coconut milk

Halve cantaloupe and remove seeds. Fill each half with ½ cup strawberries. Pour ¼ cup coconut milk over strawberries of each cantaloupe half. Great for breakfast or snack. Dress with a sprig of mint, if desired. Can also add raspberry fruit spread to coconut milk for special flavor. Serves 2.

Apple Cinnamon Salad

One of my healthy breakfast recipes that is also great for a lighter lunch - very filling and provides loads of energy:
½ large or 1 small lemon or lime, juiced
1 tsp raw honey
1 organic apple, chopped
½ cup raw pecans, slightly broken
2-3 T dried cranberries or raisins
1 tsp cinnamon

Stir honey into lemon/lime juice until dissolved.. Add apple as you chop it to prevent browning. Add remaining ingredients and stir. One large or two small portions.

5 Minute Blender Pancakes

Place into a blender and blend on high for three minutes: 1 ¾ cup almond milk 2 tsp. flax seed 1 T. coconut oil 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup millet, red winter wheat or brown rice or combination of these ½ cup old fashion oatmeal

Add to blended mix and blend briefly: 2 tsps. Rumford baking powder 1 tsp. sea salt ½ tsp. baking soda

Pour mixture onto coconut oiled hot griddle or skillet until brown on both sides. An option is to add broken pecans to mixture before pouring onto griddle. Makes 5-6 pancakes.

Creamy Coconut Rice Pudding

2 cups cooked brown rice
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup maple syrup or raw honey, (or less to taste)

Add fresh fruit and raw nuts of your choice such as:
almonds, walnuts or pecans cubed fresh pineapple or apple chunks
raisins or dried cranberries
dried coconut flakes

Combine, chill and eat. Whole intact grains are the next best food to consume after raw fruits and vegetables and provide steady calm energy, fiber and much more. This is also a great dessert recipe that reminds me of traditional rice pudding but has great healthy ingredients. Enjoy this delicious dish for breakfast, dessert or snack.
